Here is what Cure SMA Canada has been working on at the conference:
– Met with all the key research groups/drug companies receiving in depth and up to the minute updates on research
and discussion on how to incolve Canada in future research.
– Discussion with sstakeholders about bringing more clinical trials to Canada
including Avexis and Roche/Genentech.
– Organised a Q & A with Biogen for the Canadian attendees.
– Meeting with Biogen to discuss Cure SMA Canada.s strategy and next step in
negotiating for funding.
– Meeting with Avexis to begin important ground work for patient advocacy as
the begin to develop relationships with the Canadian SMA community.
– Developing potential funding for newborn screening program advocacy for Canada
– Meeting with Cure SMA (USA) president and staff to continue our
organisational relations and symmetry.
